Даная статья посвящена изучению теоретических основ онтологии в рамках различных системных языков. В нём анализируется переход от философской онтологии к лингвистической онтологии, цели и задачи лингвистической онтологии, а также теоретические принципы её построения. Основная цель исследования заключается в выявлении теоретических аспектов крупных лексико-семантических онтологий, сформированных на различных системных языках (в частности, на примере английского и русского языков), и их сравнительном анализе.
