The article examines the process of creating the first stage of an automated electronic poetic frequency dictionary of words in the verses of Abai Kunanbayev. The methodological foundations of the development are presented, including a comparative analysis of various approaches to text frequency analysis. The stages of work are described, ranging from the collection and preparation of texts to the publication of the completed dictionary on the corpora.kz platform with open access. Particular attention is paid to the combined analysis method (automated counting followed by manual verification) as the most effective solution for ensuring data accuracy. The created dictionary contains 5,000 of the most frequently used words, indicating their absolute and relative frequency. The study demonstrates the successful application of modern technologies in the field of corpus linguistics and opens new opportunities for studying the works of Abai.
