SEMANTIC-STRUCTURAL ANALYSIS OF EXPRESSIONS OF THE BEGINNING OF THE XX CENTURY

This article analyzes phraseologisms with specific semantics and structure in linguistics.Phraseology is the branch that studies phrases. The words in phraseologisms (phrases) are units of figurative meaning that combine in meaning, create a meaningful unity and are often equal in content to one lexeme. Phraseologisms are part of a sentence. The words that make up the phraseology are considered only internal parts of the phraseology. It interacts with other parts of the sentence as a whole. The article analyzes issues such as different approaches to phrases, their synonyms, antonyms, the phenomenon of polysemy, and their division into word groups, and examples from works of art are given. Modern, obsolete, dialectal, artistic, scientific, colloquial expressions are also distinguished according to the period and style of use.
