The concept of discourse has become one of the widely used concepts in linguistics. The analysis of the scope of application, linguopragmatic, and cognitive features of discourse encountered in literature, social-domestic, official, and scientific fields requires new approaches and rules. In this study, comments are made on the concept of discourse and its scope, revealing its essence and functions, and the connection of discourse with the phenomenon of intertextuality.
