This article provides a detailed overview of the theoretical foundations of the creation of an electronic corpus for the Karakalpak language, its role in modern linguistics, practical stages and promising directions. It analyzes the important aspects of corpus linguistics, foreign and local experiences, as well as the importance and necessity of such a resource for the Karakalpak language on a scientific basis. It also considers existing technological solutions, resources and mechanisms for integrating them into a single corpus system.
