This article analyzes diachronic corpora and their role in linguistic research. The historical development of these corpora is examined step by step, beginning from the 1960s in connection with modern digital technologies. The article highlights statistical and contextual analysis of language change using well-known diachronic corpora in English, French, German, and Spanish. It also provides information about the software tools used in working with corpora and their capabilities. Diachronic corpora enable an in-depth study of historical analysis and language development in linguistics.
