A phraseological unit is a combination of two or more words with a single semantic meaning, the outstanding feature that differs it from other lexical units, including throw the book at, the last straw, mukkasi bilan tushib ketmoq, tesha tegmagan. In the structure of phraseological units, anthroponymic components have such specific aspects that it helps to distinguish them from a word and word combination, as well as to select phraseological units with an anthroponymic component. This article will discuss and overview the peculiarities of phraseological units with anthroponymic components in English and Uzbek.
