This article analyzes the theoretical foundations of the concept of a terminological thesaurus and the practical aspects of its creation in biology. A thesaurus is a system that expresses semantic relationships between terms and is an important tool for creating a logically connected database of information in the scientific and educational process. The article highlights modern linguistic approaches by substantiating the synonymy, antonymy, and hierarchical relationships of biological terms.
