This article analyzes the functional characteristics of argot and jargon vocabulary in literary works. The use of argot and jargon in literary texts serves various communicative and stylistic functions, such as creating vivid characters, expressing sociocultural context, and softening themes like humor, irony, and taboos. The article examines the role of these units in the literary language and their importance in creating lively images through both theoretical and practical examples.
