Abstract

In modern linguistics, language and society are intricately interconnected, a relationship deeply explored in sociolinguistics. Within this field, sociolects—language varieties emerging among social groups—hold significant importance. Sociolects vary according to factors such as profession, age, gender, social status, regional location, or ethnic affiliation. This article examines prominent sociolects in global linguistics, their research methodologies, and their impact on language development.
