The article analyzes phraseological units in English and Uzbek using the contextual method, and their common and different aspects are theoretically substantiated. Alternative phraseological units in the works were segmented in Excel. Phraseological units were morphologically tagged in the following ways: [adjective +noun], [adjective +and +adjectiva], [preposition + adjective], [adjectiva + preposition + noun], [as + adjectiva + as + noun or adjectiva + as + noun].
